I am having to get my daughter a History book for her A levels and to knock it over the £19 mark (free delivery) i found this.
Worth buying do you think?

Chris Gomersall is certainly a top Bird photographer (produced many of the best RSPB images & leads many Bird photography tours) but I haven't read this particular book. I see Amazon suggest buying this book & Art Morris's book -the combo would probably be a very good buy. Art Morris is one of the best for Bird photography aesthetics.

I have the hard copy of this book. Interestingly the cover photo is different on the parperback version and the Kingfisher shot on the paperback cover is used several times in the hardback version to demonstrate technique only reversed!
As regards content it's very good indeed, covering all aspects of 'serious' bird photography. I'd say it's moe an instruction book on 'how to do' rather than just a light read - but it is well written and full of top notch photos as perhaps you'd expect from such a title ;)

Hi free,
Not seen Chris's book but have seen a lot of his work over the years and it is excellent.
The buy together deal looks like superb value as I have the Art Morris book and it is a spectacular example of bird photography and very well written too - highly recommended.

Definitely Art Morris's book.
To help make your mind up check out his website- the man undoubtedly has the touch:- www.birdsasart.com

I may not be qualified to compare the 2 books because I am just reading the Art Morris. Definitely recommended. If you are tired of the basic theories and principles, and are getting down to the practical tips for bird photography, Art Morris will not disappoint you.

Not familiar with the Gomersall book, but here's another vote for Art Morris. An outstanding piece of work.
cheers,
