What's the birding like round there?
I'll be around on the last day of November, on foot.

Hi Birdman,
The Camel Trail is a must. It follows the river down to Wadebridge and is a great birding walk.
Harlyn Bay and Trevose head are other places not to miss for seabirds, Divers etc. All are within easy reach of Padstow.
On the other side of the Camel is Pentire and Polzeath, much the same as Trevose, but a great walk all the same. If you get to Wadebridge, you might try the CBWPS reserve at Walmsley, keys for the large tower hide can be hired from Viking optics in town.

Superb, thanks Darrell.
I was hoping the Camel would come up trumps. :t:

hi birdman
as abovebut follow the old railway line from padstow to wadebridge, along the river slowly. lots to see if you take your time. I visit this area every summer and its very good. Try trevose hed aswell, sea watching is good but distant

Hi Birdman,
Just to clarify - the old railway line IS the Camel Trail.
