I have a lot of pictures that I want to take to the shop to be developed.
I would rather put them on my spare CF card but I can't work out how to upload them from mmy computer. Any ideas?

When you connect your camera via the USB caple it appears as an additional drive (eg. e\: or someting similar depending how many drives you have on your computer). Simply copy the files from the folder location on your computer to this drive like you would with any other files.
If you use a card reader/writer it is simply a question of copying from the computer location to the card reader.
Cheers

I tried this but after right clicking copy to select the files, there was no paste option when I right clicked on the camera folder. is it possible I have somehow write-protected the CF card?

Does your option not include either copy to or save as? I use a CF card to transfer stuff from my desktop to laptop to put on line. I just re-size and click save as with my CF card as the destination.

if using windows XP explore to the folder the images are in choose Edit|Select All then Edit|copy to folder, in here explore to your CF card this works for me. As for write protecting your CF card, as it acts like a disk drive the only way to do this is to right click on the drive, choose properties then tick the read only box. Though if this was the case you wouldn't be able to use the card in your camera either.
