Thanks Ken and francesco It sounds as if that would do the trick on days out. I was not sure whether to get extra memory cards or go for digital storage instead. With the price of the 1gb fast cards still being high. I would need two cards, one for my husband who has just got my handmedown 300d and one for myself. Two cards would be the price of the Digital storage and still have plenty of room for extra photo;s if we stayed in a place longer.
Thanks agin for your input

That looks like a very useful drive, but according to what I've been reading, there is about to be an explosion of this type of device, but more flexibility - for example with MP3 playback, etc. Yes, I know there are already devices like this with MP3 playback, but there is a lot of competition in this area and supposedly there are many goodies about to appear, so it might pay to wait awhile and see what develops.

Got my drive but It seems to be faulty. when first switched on it was showing full charge, so to try it out I copied what was on my CF which was about 6 photo's. No problems dead easy to use. I then plugged it into my computer which told me it had found new hardware and then went into My Computer, It could only see three drives and my photo's weren't there, so I came out of My computer did the safetly removed hardware bit, then tried again this time it came up with four drives the last one being where my photo's are, after I checked evrything I put it on charge for the reccomended 4 hours. Today I came to use it, it is showing no chrage at all.

I had a similar initial problem. I rang technical help and was advised to plug the device directly into a USB port on the rear of the computer (I was using a front port). Since then no problems at all.

Mr & Mrs
I can't say how long my first charge took. I left it on charge for a couple of hours - it was still not indicating full charge so left it charging and went to bed. Next morning all OK
