Dove with fledgling

Fledgling left nest and went about 5 feet. Parent dove staying by. Both left soon afterwards.

These doves are the Mourning Doves. I have seen one Inca which stayed around just long enough to refuel - one day, and one White-winged which took longer to refuel before he was gone - like three days...but the mourning doves are regulars. The nest the fledling was from has been used for this the 5th year running. It is about 8 feet off the ground and maybe 50 feet from our front door.
