View Full Version : 350d firmware update to 1.0.2 problem

Has anyone else had a problem upgrading to this version? I have successfully downloaded it several times on different computers and stored it on a newly formatted card but the camera will not recognise the update.

Any thoughts would be appeciated.

Jim have you put it in the root directory on the card. Other then that can't think what could be wrong.

Thanks Christine but I have checked that, my next move will be to format a 2nd card and try it, just in case.

Pleased to say I have not only found version 1.0.3 see link below;

I also found the problem, the xxxx.exe file from the canon download site needs to be extracted to a xxxx.fir type file, so
1. Follow web site instructions and download the e3kr2103.exe file
2. Drag the file to desktop and left click and it brings up an extract to option, open the browse button and select your card reader drive letter destination and hit ok
3. Follow the rest of the update instructions, these include having a newly charged battery and not having a lens fitted to the camera, see below
