I just read a clip from the Guardian online (dated 18 April), saying that the female Osprey has now joined her mate at Bassenthwaite.

This is great news and I will certainly be visiting the viewing site when I get over to visit my family in Penrith this summer.

Update - 8th June 2003- The ospreys continue to incubate eggs. On Thursday The Male chick was seen turning over an egg by staff watching the live nest cam. The next day staff believe the heard feint chirping perhaps from inside an egg. Comparing dates with previous years we should be seeing the eggs hatching between the 5th and 11th June 2003.
