how wide?

i really want to know what the wingspread of a martial eagle is.i have read everything from 6ft to 8ft.can someone tell me?i have never gotten close enough to one,but they one i sighted from far seems to have at least a 7ft wingspan.is it larger than the goldem eagle?i know they weigh more

I believe that Martial Eagles have a wingspan of just below 2.5 metres (around 8 feet), weigh 5-6kg and can live up to 50 years. The average wingspan of a goldie is around a foot less than that of a Martial Eagle. Hope that helps!

I had an immature on a telegraph pole by the road in Namibia a few years ago, it was frankly enormous up close. When it took off the whole sky went dark and our VW camper van tried to hide under a bush.
