a bit off tack I appreciate but does anyone know if the 20D + 100-400 attached will fit in a Lowepro Microtrecker 200? the sized spec on Warehouse suggests it might be tight depth wise

Hi Graham,
Maybe of limited help but the 350d + 100-400 fit, as does a 300d+battery grip + 100-400... maybe an inch and a half in length to spare with the latter.

cheers,
Andy

Hi, Graham,

I have the bag and I can fit my 20D with ef300 f/4 L IS lens + 1x4 tele attached (tight but secure) plus I can also stow my ef70-200 f/2.8 L IS to one side by adjusting/removing some of the velcro divisions. Still room for the x2 tele when I get it.
Everything is snug in a rug.... but it suits me.

According to published specs, the 100-400mm is marginally shorter than my Sigma 80-400mm OS, and I have no problem keeping it + attached Nikon D70 in my Microtrekker 200, plus two other lenses, my Leica 8x32BA binoculars and a load of other stuff.

thanks for the replies---I have always found Lowe to be quite generous in their dimentions but it is good to check
