Try the Gosney guide to Mallorca from Birdguides, that is reasonably upto date. Also 'A Birdwatching guide to Mallorca' by Graham Hearl, Arlequin Press ISBN 09522019 76, dates back to 99 but not too bad.
Been a few years since I was on Mallorca, from memory try the Albufera near to Alcudia, Bocquer Valley near Puerto Pollensa, Cuber Reservoir up in the mountains, and Cap des Ses Salines on the south coast. These should all have good birds in the right season.
Raptors on Menorca seemed to be more at ease than those on Mallorca, we watched Egyptian vultures on the ground in Menorca from only 30 or 40 metres, in Mallorca they would not stay on the ground if you were within 100 metres. The black vultures on Mallorca are best seen from the mountains, don't know if the griffon vulture is still there.
There used to be meetings of GOB (local bird protection organisation) at the Hotel Pollentia in Puerto Pollenca on Monday and Friday evenings during spring and autumn, as G.Hearl died recently and he was the rep I don't know if these still take place.

Majorca is a popular place to visit amongst the membership. We still go every year and stay at Cala Bona on the east coast. Not the best known of birding areas but we always manage a reasonable list of species. I dare say it's like many areas of the isalnd in that the scrubland and orchards hold good numbers of birds. I especially like the area of Costa de los Pinos where the pine trees add another habitat.
The island has been discussed a few times on Bird Forum, but the main places to visit are still the area around Puerto Polensa/Alcudia (several sites) and the Salinas de Levante in the south. The airport approach is pretty good for Little, Great and Cattle Egret as well.
These links bring back various threads about the island, including several trip reports from members -

One of our favourite places.
I started this thread about staying in Alcudia near the S'albufera reserve. There is some useful birding info in the replies.

We have a member called ESTEBANNIC who lives on Mallorca who may be able to give you some extra info on what you may see at certain times of year. You could try PM him.

There is an updated version of Graham Hearls book from 2002 . 4 of us went this may had great time. We stayed in Port D`Alcudia , here or Port de Pollenca , is a good place to make your base , your not too far from the best spots .The Albufera marsh is a good place to start easy access & plenty of birds .The Bocquer Valley ,Postage Stamp Wood ,Albufereta,Cases Velles & Cap Formentor are not too far away .Cuber reservoir is the place for raptors .For good views of Shearwaters try the Cap de Ses Salines, the Salinas de Levante is not far from here .Any of the fields in between are worth a stop , a look & a listen .
