Hi
Does anyone know the best locations for Brambling in the Essex area.
I'm in my second year as a birder and this is proving to be a bit of a bogy bird for me.

If your prepared to take the Dartford Crossing you should see them at Bough Beech reservoir near Sevenoaks, Kent. I saw lots of them yesterday at the feeder station by the Visitor Centre, plus a Willow Tit. Quite a few Mandarin Ducks were on the reservoir shore too.
Good luck.

Hi Barry,
Glad your trip was worthwhile. I also saw the Willow Tit which was a nice bonus. Got a few pictures too. Will you be going to the Dunge Bash next month? Weather permitting, it should be worthwhile.
