I have just been to this state park on the East Coast of Florida
just south of Marineland on A1A. It was a very unusual park as there were rocky tide pools which I have never seen in Florida before. The park also has a canal inlet which is home for many
Manatee's. I hope to go back and possibly get some photo's
of Manatee's the next trip. I did not have much luck with the
shore birds. They would not let me get very close. Just click on my home page, and view Florida Beaches album. Enjoy. ;)

Having just returned yesterday from Fort Mantanza State
Park. Saw spotted sandpipers, least terns nesting area,
and white headed gull, pelicans, Royal Terns. Here is a photo
of Royal Terns. But my photo's are looking so pixilated. I must
have my setting wrong on my Fuji 3800. I am new to digital
camera's. I like the point and shoot equipment. Enjoy.
Would post the tern nesting photo's but the area was roped off
and my zoom is not strong enough. Besides which, the parents
and babies just blend into the white sand.
