For anyone thinking of buy one, York cameras are discounting them at £79 inc VAT. (York Cameras Ltd 020 7242 718218-20 Bury Place, London, WC1A 2JL).
With the replicated portrait position control buttons and the ability to use 6-AA batteries I thought it was a useful extra for the camera bag,aside the other benefits people have already pointed out.
