Hi all, some friends of mine are heading for the Isle of Skye and Scourie in July and are hoping to go on a wildlife safari similar to the one we all went on on the Isle of Mull a few years ago. Can anyone recommend anyone who does these tours in these areas please?

Thanks
Dave

Although I always think of safaris as relating to 4 wheel drive expeditions on the southern African game reserves, a 'safari' of sort may be gained by having a look at the excellent http://www.skye-birds.com/ website. Have a look at the links section and you're probably best to get in contact with the relevant people from there.

Sorry this is a little vague.

Cheers

Rich

It'll probably rain, take waterproofs, and a good book for the days that you can't get out......

Thanks for all the replies. I go to the Isle of Mull each year and one year we went out with one of the 4x4 wilfife safaris (David Woodhouse) and had a very good time, saw and learnt a lot. We did this early on and was able to follow up the wildlife spots we had been shown on our own. My friends would like to do something similar on Skye if possible. They like all wildlife but would not describe themselves as fanatics, so they would find the knowledge of a local guided tour very helpful.

Thanks

Dave

Thanks fot the link Stewart, it looks like an excellent place for them to visit. I'll pass on the info later today. Otters are brilliant aren't they, we see them on Mull. Last summer we watched a mother and cub for over six hours, feeding, playing and sleeping.
