I was using my D100 when it started playing up, The metering system started exposing Erratically, I tried all the metering systems & got the same with them all, Nearly all the shots were so dark it looked like night even on a sunny day also the focusing was well out.

Has anyone else had a problem like this ? I took it back to jessops where they seemed suprised but luckily i had taken out a extended warranty for an extra two years, I hope they can get it right soon as i am camera-less at the moment, What a bad time of the year to be without one :C

Can't find anything on www.nikonians.com about it, Cashie...

You might want to sign up (it's free) and ask there - unless you're the first, someone on there will recognise the problem, I'm sure.

Never had this problem. With the first D100 I've owned, the mirror hinge broke after about 35,000 shots, it was fixed under warranty and the camera continued to work another 50,000 shots.
Then I've sold it - still clicking, to someone I know will take 1000 shots a year (maybe), not in a week...
I've bought a new D100 that took about 65,000 shots since then and is still alive and kicking. It was put aside several months ago by the D2X and recently by the D200.

Apparently the D2H is sufferering from metering problems as well - and is been fixed for free by Nikon, internal error or something. Contact Nikon and ask them, may be a similar fault on your D100.
