Hi,
the Vinaceous Amazon ( Amazona vinacea) is listed as CITES 1, and the IUCN Red List Category list the species to Vulnerable.
Regarding to this it would be intresting to know if there are any ongoing conservation projects to save the species? I havent found such information .Do anyone of you have any ideas if there are any?

I am not aware of any projects that are specifically aimed at this species only, but there are several conservation projects in Brazil that are trying to conserve areas with Araucaria angustifolia (the tree the Vinaceous Amazon, as well as a number of other habitat specialists, are dependant on). Indeed, there are a number of localities in Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, Paraná and São Paulo where this species still is common (and this was one of the main reasons for its downlisting from endangered to vulnerable), but its continued existance is closely related to the conservation of Araucaria angustifolia.
