I am serioulsy considering purchase of a Canon 20-D for general and bird photography(not for digiscoping). My current telephoto lens is Tokina 400mm f/5.6 AT-X (autofocus). Does anyone know if this lens will be compatible with the 20-D ?

THANKS

If the lens is a canon fit then it will work with the 20D. if not, you'll have to get a different make of camera.

Hi Craig,
Canon have just launched a new camera, the 30D which is selling at quite a good price. It's the same as the 20D, but has a number of upgrades including a larger screen and spot metering - may be worth a look.
The lens should fit, but just take your camera along to a shop that stocks it and check it out!
Also check out the camera at DP review web site. Just put DPR into a search engine.

Cheers,

Madmike :'D
