Has anyone out there used either the Canon G6 and/or the Nikon CP8400 for digiscoping? I found a website that says both are good for digiscoping, but doesn't say which is better. Probably just a mater of preferance, but I wanted to find out if anyone has used either of them and what you thought. I plan on using it with a Swarovski ATS 80 HD.
Any thoughts other than the Nikon CP8400 isn't made anymore and is hard to find?
Thanks Norm

How far away were you from this chickadee?
It is a nice picture inspite of bad conditions.
Thanks Norm

The Canon G series cameras haven't been used as much for digiscoping as their lenses behave differently to others and so need to be matched with long Eye Relief eyepieces to work without vignetting. It's a nice camera but you should check it with your scope eyepiece first. The Nikon 8400 works well and is the pro-digiscopers camera of choice with the Olympus 7070wz, but it's zoom is on the short side (24mm to 85mm or 0.5 - 1.5x optical zoom) so would probably go better with 30x eyepiece to cover enough distance.Neil

Distance was approximately 15 meter.I´m not sure if 20x60 eyepiece is best choice for 8400.You need almost full zoom to get rid off those black edges.I concider seriously to get adapter for my other eyepiece (30x) .
Here is another testphoto from same day...
