hello
is anyone out there using the samsung octicon digiscoping set up. if so whats it like and would you recommend it to a complete beginner.

I bought the ES80ed + HDF20-60x and samsung all at the same time after a goodly amount of testing in the field at Martin Mere WWT.

The results Ive had blow away all my previous attempts.

I'd have to say the advice I got there was very good.

Went ahead and bought Samsung camera but have got home and dont seem to be able to get adaptor onto SDL zoom lens in one piece! Have put tightening ring and inner sleeve on first and then have to put rest of adaptor onto eyepiece - sure man in in focus managed to get whole thing onto eyepiece and then fully tightened it once it was in place - what do you do?

Did you get the right adapter? There are at least two. For your SDL zoom you should have SDL DCC Adapter, code 50064 (or at least thats what it says on my box)
