I purchased a Nikon P1 in Feb for a trip to Taiwan. The camera is great. The intent all along was to add on the required items to use the camera for digiscoping birds/wildlife. about two weeks ago I was sold a Nikon 15 to 45X60mm sky and earth spotting scope from Inkleys. I was told they did have the adapters (camera mount and eye piece) but they could order (6 to 8 weeks). So I ordered the two items online and received them in a couple of days. however the pieces do not attach (eye peice and scope both male theats) to the sky and earth, they are made for the "fieldscopes". Is there any way to make them work or am I forced to take the scope back and argue for my money back?
any help?

Not sure the Sky and Earth is such a great choice for digiscoping on account of the "false colour" it gives. Digiscoping it seems tends to be more demanding than viewing. Maybe should be looking to get a scope with ED glass. Was in correspondence here on Birdforum a while back with a guy who used one (can't remember name, memory like sieve) but at first opportunity he upgraded to a 65mm scope with ED glass. He reckoned there was enough light around in Texas for a 65mm scope to be bright enough; that kept the cost down a bit.
Having said that, expect there are talented users of this scope around who get good results; must be more difficult though.

Thanks, Norm between your answer and the response Nikon sent me I returned my Sky and Earth for a refund and ordered the correct Fieldscope (should have it in a couple of days). Then I can hook it all together and start taking some pictures. Lots of wild turkeys near by and some turkey vultures I'd like to photograph..........
happy hunting

Just sitting on the edge of my chair. Which scope did you opt for. My turkeys are strutting and starting to get scarse. I don't hunt them but love to watch them. Real Tree advantage camo is the best for New England birds. Brown seem to work both fall and spring. I have had them come within 20 feet from me

I opted for the 60mm angled fieldscope, with the 40x eye piece. I didn't worry about camo the birds are right on the side of the road every morning in teh fields. First time I saw them I thought they were black garbage bags lined up. Lots of large mule deer and elk in the same area every day as well.
I still haven't received the scope as I ordered it and then two seconds later I got an email saying it was back ordered. I'll keep waiting I guess. Every dealer Nikon provided on their web site here doesn't stock anything but sky and earth scopes including the new Cabelas. Half the dealers claim they don't even carry Nikon eventhough Nikon listed them as dealers...

Are you going to use this for digiscoping or just viewing. Casanova's Outdoor Adventures from Wisconsin is a good dealer in scopes and outfits. The owner is Jack Casanova. I have the 82 ED model for both viewing and digiscoping. I use the 30mm ds eyepeice because of the digiscoping. I am thinking of maybe later getting a zoom for viewing.
