I have a uD800 which I use for digiscoping. Although an excellent camera I haven't found a really usable and quick adapter. As it has no threads on the lens and shuts a flap across the lens when retracted, a bit disaterous if it was attached to anything. I used to use the zeiss adapter but I want to use it with my Nikon ED50 as well as a swarovski ST80HD and the Nikon is too small. I bought a Baader adapter but that's too bulky and not too quick to attach, though produced some reasonable results when used with the swarovski. The New Leica adapter is the only one that specifically mentions the Olympus but I don't want to buy a Leica just for digiscoping, or will the leica adapter fit any other scopes?

When I'm getting a camera for testing, I use the Nikon Universal adapter. It's looks quite bulky and a bit heavy at the first glance but it grabs the scope and the camera together very solidly. You can easily align the camera in front of the eyepiece. It allows for full control over the distance between the camera and the scope. Worth looking at. You get used to it after some time. I have a couple of friends that use it regularily. Here's a link to it at B&H website.

Thanks Yossi,

Looking at the spec it's too big for what I want, being over a foot long, I was looking for something smaller that I could just slip in my pocket and stick it on the scope when I need it.

Does the adapter move to the side or do you have to take the camera off to look through the scope? Looking at the photos of it I would guess when it's fixed on the scope that's it.
