Dear all,

I`m now considering the possibility to buy a spotting scope!
Can someone advise me on this two ones Zeiss 85mm and Swarovski 80mm, wich one is the best deal considering observation and digiscoping togheter?
And wich is THE digital camera for digiscoping?

Hi,

"The" camera for digiscoping appears to be the Nikon Coolpix 990 (3MP) if you can source, or the Coolpix 4500 (4MP). If you can wait a while, Nikon is due to release an updated version of the CP4500.

Many prefer the 990 to the 4500 due to the AA NiMh battery support even though the 4500 has greater resolution. The 995 works well also.
