Newbie to Digiscoping with a Nikon Coolpix 8400

Hi there! This is my first post in this great forum and internet discussion group of any kind. I read many threads here and come to appreciate the attractiveness of bird photography with a spotting scope.To seriously kicking off with this, I am now considering to purchase a new spotting scope as my existing one is a very obsolete Nikon model with a 15x-45x eyepiece. Any suggestion on the spotting scope and adapter for a newbie like me?

I suggest you have a look at some of the shots taken by Neil on the HK Birdwatching Society BBS

Neil, uses a Swarovski 80HD scope, 30x eyepiece and Olympus 7070WZ but he has many other combinations.

I am using a Nikon 8400 with a Swarovski ATS 80HD and zoom eyepiece and Swarovski DCA.

Try searching this forum as there are a lot of people using the 8400 with diffent scopes
