Attached is my first posting. It is a Mandarin Duck taken in the rain at Kowloon Park in Hong Kong
Equipment Nikon 8400 and Swarvoski ATS 80HD with 20-60X eyepiece.
The shot is un-cropped and shot at 1/8 second due to very bad weather conditions

A superb shot!
There's a slight vignetting that can be a result of either being not at full zoom of the camera (should be between 75-85mm), or of not keeping a firm coupling between the camera and the scope.

Thanks Yossi,
I will check the vignetting, the camera was at maximum telephoto. Actually I leave the lens setting at "telephoto" so when I switch on the camera it will automatically go to maximun telephoto

Wow ! Considering that 1/8 second, it's very sharp. Well done.
Agree with Yossi on zoom for vignetting though, I remember it well ;) (Fuji s602 and Digimax EP)

A great shot, yes I agree about the vignetting but for me it is not always detrimental to the image, as with this one it adds to it by throwing eye focus on the subject. Ernie

Thanks Ernie, I haven't be able to check the vignetting problem due to bad weather but I feel it is not vignetting as the shading is a vertical strip on the righthand side. It could be something to do with the DCA. I will report back if I can solve the problem

Bob,
I think its technically excellent! If this is your first attempt then we may as well put our cameras away and bow to your excellence. Thanks for sharing,
and keep up the great work!

Thanks Jerry,
I have to admit I have been pestering Neil Fifer, our local guru, for digiscoping tips and it all seemed to pay off. It may have been first time lucky and I am sure I will have a hard time maintaining the standard.

Thanks Mark for the reply, the weather here in Hong Kong has been terrible, so consequently no birding. I hope to post further shots once things improve.
