I have been wanting to start a thread about my local patch for ages basicly it is a park called the south inch

I usually visit on a Saturday morning but go through out the week as well this saturday i went down on my bike as i always do and just going into the path around the pond that Mallards and Swans nest near by i saw a little Wren on the path

I went around the pond and saw that the heavy down pour had made a little lake i saw a juv blackie and followed a juv song thrush that are abundant there i went around the pond again and saw and heard some sand martins i went to the little lake again and saw that mallards and BHgulls had taken advantage of it i also saw a Carrion Crow fishing for something i dont know what then i decided to look for Bunnys and i got about 5 fet away from one by getting off my bike and hiding behind a tree then i was about to leave when i saw something i had never seen before at my local patch a Grey Squirrel yes introduced or not but i liked watching it jump from tree to tree

Anyway i just thought i would post this and maybe post updates of my local every now and then o:D

Hi Ross, sorry I've only just caught up with your report.

I used to walk round the South Inch sometimes in my lunch break, there's quite a good selection of birds to be seen.

Keep the reports coming, I'd like to hear what is about there.

Kawwauser I used to feel the same when I went to work; got quite cross if the lights didn't stop me in the middle of the bridge, so that I could look for the Goosanders and Sand Martins. There are Terns there on occasion too, but I can't remember now which species they were.
