View Full Version : I can't find my pictures!

Hi all

I got back from Poland on Saturday and while going through my pictures I found that I have somehow lost 106 shots (out of 200) on one of my memory cards (Compact Flash)!

When trying to view them on the camera (Coolpix 4500) it says 'file contains no image data' and on the computer either comes up with an error message or 'no preview available'. I know they were on there because I was looking at them earlier in the week!

Does anyone know why this might have happened so I can prevent it in the future, or, ideally (although probably a long-shot!) - can I rescue the pictures somehow???

Cheers

Matt

Buy a new card pronto, Matt - don't use that one until you've tried all the recovery apps you can.

Recover My Files is very good but it costs. I'll take a look for some freeware now ...

Welcome to Birdforum from all the moderators and staff, ;) shame it took a catastrophe before ya Posted 3:-)

Cheers,

Andy.
