How do you solve the problem of shutter? Remote control?
But I think the range of Nikon 8400 is too short which is limited to 85mm only. It is appreciated if it can extend to 100mm or more.

L-mike, I use the Nikon remote control that came with the camera.
Regarding the zoom, yes a longer zoom range would be an advantage but no one camera has all the ideals for digiscoping and the 8400 seemed the most suitable

If we can find the cable release bracket in H.K., most of the DCs are available for our selection.
Besides, have you tried Ricoh GX8, it has its own electronic shutter releases.
