Have just acquired this converter for my coolpix 990, and there seems to be some 'confusion' as to whether it actually has a front filter thread.
Several sources on the Web claim it has a 48mm thread, and suggest a 48-49mm step-up ring to attach more readily available 49mm filters. I tried this step-up ring, and it obviously will not fit properly as the thread pitch seems different altogether.
Can anyone confirm this, and give any suggestions of actually fitting a filter, please.
