Solar Powered Birdbaths or pumps

Hi All,

There seem to be a whole host of products on the market these days that allow you to operate a solar powered birdbath with running water. My question is has anyone used one of these and how did they work out - especially in a spot that wasn't overly blessed with sunshine such as New England. It seems to be an ideal solution to me - running water without the energy usage and cost of one that runs from the mains.

I was interested in these type of products a few years ago but got some feedback from those who had used the products that they were weak and clogged up quickly so I lost interest. Instead I set up a home made dripper which works really well. I f there is a decent solar powered product out there that works well I would be interested in it.
