I have had no problem, but I looked at the patent on the prism system when I was annoyed about waterproofing failures, and I thought that the claimed advantages of it were for waterproofing (something about not having to put screws through something or other) rather than robustness.

I did have one 820 that came to me with a prism completely knocked out (rattling if you shake the binocular). I was apoplectic about it because it was a replacement and I thought the retailer was taking me for a fool. When I finally calmed down enough to take it to actionoptics the expert there repaired it quite cheaply and quickly, so I expect that if it does go out of collimation you can get it sorted out fairly easily. I had taken it to him in the original packaging and he also said this had been grossly inadequate for a postal delivery: he pointed at his outgoing mail, which had even compact binoculars in huge boxes, packed in layers and layers of padding.
