Help! Can anyone give me some advice. I have a Nikon D70 DSLR which I would like to connect to a Kowa TSN614 scope. I can get hold of a Kowa adapter which connects to the camera via a T-mount, but I am not sure whether this combination will work. Nikon's web site implies that the camera will only connect to a Nikon Fieldscope - but they would say that! Nikon also avoid saying whether the camera will work with a T-mount. A local camera shop seems to think that it will all work and the camera will function on aperture priority & manual focus using the scope. However, I would like to be sure before spending £150 on the bits.

Has anyone out there tried connecting a D70 to a non-Nikon (preferably a Kowa) scope and if so, does it work? Any advice would be gratefully received.

Many thanks.

If you have the kowa SLR adapter it should work as well on the Kowa as the Nikon one does on the Nikon scope. They are non-intelligent ,f11, eyepieces , which require Manual Focusing and some Manual Exposure settings. The T-mount is the way they all come and you have to also buy the adapter for your camera brand so you will need the Nikon T-Mount (no lens is needed on the camera ). Kowa should be able to provide it with the Nikon mount. Neil

Many thanks for the advice Neil. It sounds good so I'll give it a try. If I get any decent shots, I'll put them up on the site.

Cheers
