Richard,
I haven't but I have stayed at Sheiling's campsite at Craignure http://www.shielingholidays.co.uk/campsite.htm and I'd recommend it to anyone.

Thanks Lee
Ideally I was looking for somewhere a little more central, was it easy to get around from there? Last time I went I was eleven and I can't remember what the roads are like.

Richard,
Hi, I can understand wanting a central campsite, the roads are typical of the Western Islands and Highlands mostly single track with passing spaces, a little undulating at times, but well tarmac'd with a good finish. The main road from Craignure to Tobermory is dual track all the way now and national speed limit applies, thank Ballermory? So from Craignure to Salen takes 10-15 mins approx and then from there you are fairly central, and of course close to Glen Aros.
Enjoy your time there,
Lee

Sorry to disagree Lee, but I have just returned after spending a week on Mull. A lot of the single track roads are in a shocking state, with pot holes all over the place. The road between Craignure and Tobermory is still single track between Salen and Ardnacross. We've never stayed at Killechronan campsite but we did pass it a few times. It's in a very good location but we didn't really take any notice of the facilities. Otters and White Tailed Eagles could well be possible from the campsite itself as we saw both of these not far from the campsite
