Poundland have done it again.

They have four-digit metal tally counters (for a pound, obviously), which look like this one::

They're humorously (sic) branded as "totty counters" ("The totty keep lookin' so you keep clickin' How 'hot' are you?"), but apart from that, they seem to be just the same as those sold by sports and natural history equipment suppliers for a tenner or more, and used by people who count geese or ducks, or whatever.

The counters which were freely distributed by a deodorant (to see how hot you were, obviously) were apparently not of a very good quality (surprise!)
Should get myself a quadruple counter one day... so if anyone has any suggestions (money's not the problem)!

Please explain in what way these are "apparently" not of a very good quality - the few that I've purchased (one for me, others for friends and colleagues) seem fine.

When you're as hot as Xenospiza, they just break under the pressure
