The beauty below (pullus Common Gull) was outside my office today. I tried to take a picture thorugh my Swarowski 10x42 SLC binoculars, and was very pleased with the result. It seems that if I manage to hold the binos steady the images can get very good.

(Nikon 4500, 22mm, 1/150, f. 5.8, Close-Up program)

It seems like binos&Nikon4500 works quite well together, and could be a winner on longer hikes where a scope would be to heavy. Does anyone know if there are camera adapters for binos? I certainly would consider buying one!

I have not heard of an adapter specifically for binoculars but some of the generic clamp-type adapters like the EagleEye might work. Another possibility is to get the doubler (2X extender) that Swarovski makes for your binoculars. That would double your reach and provide a longer tube for an adapter to clamp onto. But it would also result in less light and would probably require a tripod, or at least resting the binoculars against a solid object to avoid motion blur. Glen

My Lensplus adapter screws onto the right-hand half of my Pentax 8 X 42 DCF binos, allowing me to use them with my Coolpix-4500, in theory. For some reason, though, I have great difficulty finding and focussing on the bird with this combo., and I have never been able to take decent shots with it. I have used the TCE-3ED X3 telephoto adapter for flight shots, but I think I will get an EagleEye 5X optic zoom, as I understand they are relatively easy to use, for those occasions when I don't have my scope for digiscoping, or I want flight shots.
