I've just heard of a field within 2 hours of my home that sports breeding Henslow's Sparrow. That is about as close as I can get to their breeding range. Four of us will attempt to put this species on our lifelists this Sunday. Wish us luck!
looking for #843,

I don't know Charles....I think the listing police would prefer you spot your own. Surprised that you haven't seen one considering your ABA list total. Never been in the range during the correct season?

Oh well, it was just a thought.
Strangely, never birded much in the east, except southern Florida and coastal SC.

Congrats, Dennis!!
I can find Henslow's, fortunately, within 20 miles of home, and was successful in at least hearing them this morning!

Not sure how to say thank you in Japanese Charles, but you get the idea. Knew you would sneak that on your list somehow.
Thanks Beverly. Maybe Charles can put that on his Indiana list!

Til hamingju (congrats in Icelandic) Dennis. I'm just going to have to get myself over to the States. There were 35 lifers for me on that little trip of yours with House Sparrow, Starling, Canada Goose and Barn Swallow the only birds I've seen of that lot!

Thanks Edward. If you ever make it to Pennsylvania, I'll be glad to help you find a few lifers.
