I have to admit that I am slowly beginning to like these guys. They have amazing camoflage . Today they didn't make their normally high pitched shreeching entry into the garden. They must of been in the apple tree for 45 minutes without making a single noise. You had to look twice to see if they were still there . As they almost disappeared in amongest the leaves.

They're beautiful. If I ever get home, and have a garden where any parrot chooses to visit, I will do everything I can to keep them around. :bounce:

I like them too, I often get flocks of 30 plus fly over my place going to Roost but have never had them visit my garden.

I love my resident parakeets. I get 3 different kinds (monk, red-masked, and canary-winged), as well as the very occasional amazon-type. They're very shy and seem to have been originally attracted by the other birds that visit my feeders. They're so cool!

In April I went to our Portland, Oregon zoo and got to see the Parakeets and someone handed me some nector to feed a Parakeet and before the Parakeet ate some Nector the Parakeet just sat their looking at me for a while like it was saying "HI" to me in silence! It was the cutest thing i've ever seen! Before this I don't ever remember seeing Parakeets. They are not wild normal everyday bird in our area. I wish they were, but they are not! Sad to say. You all are lucky to have them where you are!
