Kind regards

Any remote valley for raptors including Golden Eagle. Any stretch of coast will be worth a look.
However, for a long day out, I would suggest driving north to the Corran Ferry and heading west along the Ardnamurchan peninsula. Interesting all the way down. Park at the lighthouse at the end, and look out for passing seabirds including Manx Shearwaters and skuas, loads of Gannets, auks, Kittiwakes etc. Chance of both eagles, whales dolphins seals otters etc

Working on the assumption you may not have access to a car:
1. 2-3km west along the A85 road, you come to Kilchurn castle on the shores of Loch Awe. Scan the loch for Black-throated Diver (Prachttaucher).
2. follow B8077 3km NW to start of Glen Strae. Scan up this valley and the mountains either side for good chances of Golden Eagle (Steinadler).
3. Take the train down to Oban (35km west); Black Guillemots (Gryllteiste) breed in the harbour around the ferry terminal. Take the ferry to Mull (Craignure) and back, to see other auks (Trottellumme, Tordalk, possibly Papageitaucher), Red-throated Diver (Sterntaucher), Gannet (Basstöpel), Shag (Krähenscharbe) and possibly Manx Shearwater (Schwartzschnabel Sturmtaucher). Also look out for White-tailed Eagles (Seeadler) over the coast of Mull (I've seen one fly right over the ferry!).
Any other species you are particularly interested in looking for?

Also worth doing - if you enjoy climbing mountains, and IF the weather forecast is safe, to climb Ben Cruachan (1126m), 10km west of Dalmally. Good chances of Red Grouse (Moorschneehuhn) on the middle slopes, and Ptarmigan (Alpenschneehuhn) near the top.
Good luck!
