Any BIRD SITES at/or near LEEDS
Going to Leeds unexpectedly, tomorrow morning, we will be free from lunch-time and hope to do some birding in that area, and/or somewhere nearby.

Just outside Leeds on the A1 is the RSPB reserve Fairburn Ings

I like the boardwalks here - saw my first Long Eared Owls. Good for water birds too.

Apparently on the North edge of ILkley below Middleton is MIddleton Wood and at the East end of Ilkley is Briery Wood and Herbers Ghyll - all recommended in the 'Where to Watch Birds in Yorkshire' book - I haven't been myself though.
