Eagleeye Optic zoom cf. Nikon 3 times convertor.

I was interested in the message from Geoff Pain as I am in a similar position of looking to purchase a telephoto convertor for my Coolpix 995. I use the camera for digiscoping with a Nikon Fieldscope but also wanted a convertor for closer wildlife photography. I wondered whether anyone has had experience of the Nikon convertor and better still any comparisons between that and the eagleeye optic zoom (apart from the obvious increased magnification!).

Just as a tease, tought I'd mention that a new CrystalVue 8x32 went yesterday for £26 on EBay :

Don't forget crispack, if you go to the gallery you can do a search from there on eg. Crystalvue which will find you photos using that convertor.

I have uploaded two pictures taken with cp4500 and the 5x optic zoom for just an hour agoo. I am not impressed of this converter but it is ok. It does not change colours; and that is good.
