I have a Canon 30D and Manfrotto 701RC2 head. The quick release plate on the tripod head does not fit the camera because of the anti-rotation pin getting in the way. Solution please?

Unscrew pin. Hi Ken.

Hi Henry,
I don't want to lose the security of the pin. I was hoping there was another type of plate available. Just needs to be a bit bigger.
cheers, Ken

Nope that's the only plate... removing the anit-rotational pin will probably be the only solution. The pin won't be any use with this set up any way as the camera doesn't have a second hole.

Hi there, the pin is not screwed and is just pushed out from the 'slot'side. If you try to screw or push it out with a screwdriver in the slot it will lock it in place, just push the whole pin. Talking from experience!
