Hi, I am happy to give you this new, INTIMPA is born. The point is to work in a very small place, around Abancay in Peru. As you surely know Andes is a pretty good place for endemism and there is a hot spot in this part neer Cusco.
We are going to work in forest between 3000 and 5000 wich include different types of natives trees and up to 3800 Polylepis with is very particular to the Andes, live until 5200m up to the see level.
In a place named Runtococha, we have Cinclodes aricomae and others species that are very reduced in term of world population.
In the protected site where starts the project we have Synallaxis courseni wich is a bird that could be seen only in this place less than 50 000 hect. Around 6 other species are "undescribed", 2 near the town of Abancay and 4 in the reserved place wich in named Sanctuario National del Ampay.
If you want to get more information and help us please go to :

I am working on so it is quite small but pages are created every days.
Best.Valère Claverie.
