Ron.
The following were also present at Brandon, for the Midland Bird Fair.
Did you miss, Steve, Andy Bright & Greenfields? I was present and also spoke to Ian & Tony.
You never know you could have spoken to a number of members, without knowing it.

I've not knowingly met any BF'ers yet. Not even Dave Smith and we live in the same small town!

I've just posted a photo of two badges I've made up in the gallery. I wanted to post them here but didn't know how to.

While I know I"m not the only BF'er in Indiana, I've not met anyone.
I keep trying to drag some local friends into the forum -- they did participate in the GGBC back in May -- but since they've started rehabbing, they're lucky to find time to answer email, but much less spend time on the forum. I'll keep workin' on 'em, tho!
Going to look at your badges, Janetclark -- what a good idea (especially since I seem to have misplaced my cap!)

Hi Ron,
Birding in Vietnam has its moments. Whilst a lot of the birding is very hard due to 1) often difficult environments 2) a lot of hunting spooking the birds and 3) suspicious police, the rewards a re huge. Vietnam has 10 endemics, the highest number in SE Asia. A lot of top birding spots have become easily accessible in recent years. In all modesty, may I point you to http://www.fatbirder.com/links_geo/asia/vietnam.html where I have written an introduction to birding in Vietnam.
