The Lodge - worth a trip?

Living in Milton Keynes now and I haven't done much birding for quite a while due to circumstances beyond my control! Would like to take a day off in the week, to myself, and maybe visit The Lodge at Sandy as it's not too far away. Just wondering if this is likely to be a worthwhile trip at this time of year?

It's OK but you'd be better off going 20mins up th a1 to Paxton pits
