An idiot question on Nikon

I have noticed that upon bringing up my digiscoped shots in the computer and reading the nikon media card, some file names are all in Caps and others in lower case. Does this signify, pics taken in manual and auto? If not, what does it signify. I probably could figure this out had I installed the camera software but I never did.

Probably that you have remamed or copied them. My Nikon is all in caps all the time, but you might have some copying or editing software that is doing this.

No, this is one I first take the card out of the camera and insert it into the card reader in the cp. Before I have even opened them to take a look.
