I am looking for a camera bag and would like one which offers storage for other stuff as well. I have narrowed my search down to either the Lowepro orion II or the Tamrac adventure 6 but would be interested in hearing from board members who own one of these or anyone who has an opinion they'd like to share.

Hello,
I have the Lowepro Orion Trekker II (I chose the black version, more suitable to go out birding).. it's a good backpack, well built and refined .. the only surprise I had when I received it is that it is rather small (I thought it a bit larger); much depends on your gear: it's ok if you travel with a small zoom or a macro lens, but if you use (or plan to use) long lenses it will not be enough; its upper part is enough when you are carrying not a large stuff, e.g. bins, a sweater, a sandwich and a bottle of water
Cheers,
Max
