What kind of price breaks if any can one expect shopping for binos at birding shows or festivals? Is it normally possible to price haggle? Please share related experiences. Thanks.

I would not count on price breaks. The greatest advantage there is that you get to look and try many models, and choose the ones that best suit you.
Avoiding a bad sample and choosing a model that you like is a big plus.

The focus stand at the Bird Fair at Rutland will do some deals (though might not be on bins - e.g. I got a tripod thrown in with my scope) and as comented above they have loads of different bins.
You are also servd one at a time by a single person so you have teh 100% attention of someone. It is really helpful to but bins there, tough dont know about regional bird fairs.

There is an awful lot of value in being able to check out a variety of binoculars in one place. We have no large optics retailer in my area, and it was a lot of work to examine all the binoculars I was interested in.
Clear skies, Alan
