Swaro SLC for $700 something on eBay and Steiner Merlins.....

there is an SLC WB i believe for around 700 dollars or something only 2 or 3 hrs left with only worn eyecups....also steiner merlin 8x42s for 275....is it wise buying binocs on ebay? for one thing you would have to try out a model first before you buy one...etc.

Trying before buying is highly advised. Are you familiar with either model? .... They are very different binos, and unless you know what you want you're buying blind.

oh im not buying them i was just letting you all know....are the steiners good binos? them seem to be...

The Steiners seem to be around in stores, you can see them pretty easily. See a hunting fishing store around your area.

What about warranty issues? $700 seems a decent price for Swaros depending on the model. The 8x30 usually retails right at $1000 most places. If there isn't a warranty then a $300 discount wouldn't be enough in my book.

there are several right now on ebay for 400-1000 range mostly 8x30, some 7x42s and 10x50s too....
