I got some good pictures of various birds in my area this AM with my new canon S2.

Can anyone identify the bird at the very bottom of the page here? I think it is a pine siskin or some type of sparrow. doesn't look like a house sparrow though.

also check out the video of a northern flicker at the suet feeder. i had it zoomed in all the way. quality is reduced somewhat because it is hosted at google video, but the original raw video file was great.

also, i have not read the manual yet, and all pictures were taken in auto mode, just point and shoot.

Very nice pictures. I'm leaning toward the Pine Siskin because of the beak and what might be a possible white wing bar - though it is hard to see. But, I will caveat this with I'm usually wrong.
Mainly wanted to comment on the pictures.

I've been thinking you might want to move the unknown bird image to the bird id and taxonomy forum. More people will see it and you might get the definitive answer.

Nice Pics and videos dude. I like seeing the one of the Steller Jay. Wow thats a nice bird! To bad we don't getum here in the east. :flyaway:
