just to let you all know i bought a 400d from them and all the paperwork is either Deutsch/French/Italiano NOT English
i know how to work the camera so no problems there.
However i just rang them to ask them to send me English paperwork THE best they could do is send me a link to the Manual and could do nothing about the quick guide / accsesories page and all the othere paper work that's all forien to me .
it's no big deal to me as i intend keeping this camera till it die's But if someone want to upgrade and sell it on they may not get the price they should as it's in effect inconplet .
Iwont be buying from them again .

This is a well known issue with Pix, but not a real problem.
English manual packs, including quick guide etc can be purchased from:
Robert Scott, the UK outlet for Canon documentation.
Contact details at:http://www.canon.co.uk/Support/User_Manuals/index.asp
Have had to do this myself before, cost was still cheaper even after adding cost of manual. Must agree that it would be nice to know this prior to purchase.

Isn't Pixmania in France? If you buy outside of the UK then you pay your money and take your chances i say.

To be honest the printed manuals for most cameras these days are pretty hopeless, and are often no more than brief guides to turning the thing on, pointing the camera and taking a basic auto picture. You usually have to access the full manual from either a CD or download from the internet even if you buy in the UK.

Yes, their deliveries seem to come from Paris. I've bought a compact camera from them in the past and recently a sigma 80-400 mm lens and not had any problems with manuals (everything that should have been in the box was in the box). Given that the sigma lens was almost £100 cheaper than anywhere else on the internet, I would happily use them again.
The only quibble I had was that they automatically added a VIPix loyalty card onto my order at an additional £15, which I didn't notice. However, they refunded it without any trouble when I contacted them.

I think if you go to the Canon url and go Stateside, you will probably find for free download the manual in English.
