How long can the mzh-700 Hi-MD record on one battery? I need to record some geese flying over my house, so what sound quality should I use? i also use 1 GB Hi-MD disks.
Thanks

At least 8 hours, on one fully charged 2300mAH NiMH battery. But hey, YMMV - try it, leave the machine running until the battery runs out or your disk finishes and find out how long the recording is :)

will help you gauge the recording length. You get 1h34m in PCM, nearly 8 hours in Hi-SP, and 34h in Hi-LP on a 1G blank.
Which would all point to you choosing Hi-SP and a recording time of 7h55m
